Eligibility Criteria for the Tony Elumelu Foundation Programme
- You should be a citizen or legal resident of the 54 African countries.
- Your proposed business must be registered and operate within Africa.
- You must be at least 18 years old, and there is no upper age limit.
- Whether you’re an outstanding entrepreneur with an existing high-growth startup or an aspiring business owner with transformative ideas, you can apply.
- Your business should be either a business idea or an early-stage company, between 0 and 3 years old.
- Your application should focus on one business only.
- They are particularly interested in increasing representation from French, Arabic, and Portuguese speakers, as well as female entrepreneurs.
- Your business ideas should not harm the environment, lives, or property. They should be for-profit and original creations by the individuals submitting.

Please note that research institutions, faith-based organizations, value-adding trading companies, government contractors, and businesses located outside of Africa are not eligible.
